We made it up to Ney and we were TIRED. We didn't get to sleep until after midnight on Thursday and were up before 7am. And only Henry took a nap on the ride to Grandma's. I spent my time sitting beside him yelling "Henry! Wake up!"
Poor Georgie had a rough week. She spent 2 days crying and not sleeping. On Wednesday night, she had a fever (just around 100). Then Thursday morning, she had 6 dirty diapers and slept 5 hours straight in the car. Phew.
The Seibert kids were waiting for us when we got to Ney. Henry and Oliver got straight to work with the toy construction equipment. They loaded stones with the excavator into the dump trucks and hauled them over to the pad to build a new road. Too bad Grandpa undid their work every night with the broom.
Tessa amped up the cute.
And Natalie showed off her hula hooping skills.
Aunt Elizabeth was visiting her sister in South Carolina, so Uncle Kevin decided to bring the kids over to spend the night in the trailer. Grams read everyone a bedtime story before we sent the Seiberts outside.
Everyone wanted a turn holding the new baby.
Tessa's not the baby anymore!
Mama's current favorite- Oliver- took a minute away from causing trouble to squeeze the newest cousin.
Uncle Kevin walked in to find mama feeding Tessa big spoonfuls of whipped cream. So he retaliated by loading George up with candy.
On Saturday, we had a party for the Seibert aunts and uncles. Oliver and Henry got back to moving stones.
And Georgie was introduced to Aunt Chris. Check out the bare arms and bare legs! We set a record for hot weather- 89 degrees! Mama was mad that she left the south and couldn't escape the heat.
Speaking of heat, the fire pit was awfully hot, so all the kids had to cover their eyes.
Tessa continued to rock her mullet.
Grandpa got out the tractor for hay rides and everyone got a turn driving.
Henry took his job very seriously.
Georgie met her Great Grandma Seibert.
And exchanged smiles.
Tessa and I took a wagon ride with our second cousin Ava.
Aunt Laurie got to squeeze Georgiana. Are you noticing the trend that the baby never touched the ground?
We just couldn't stop taking pictures of Tessa!
Papa showed us his hula hooping.
Have you noticed a trend in my clothing lately? I've worn this chicken frock 3 days in a row. "I wear my chicken dress!"
Natalie defies the odds by lifting up a 15 month old who probably weighs more than she does.
And how could we end the night without another picture of Tessa? How's that s'more, sweet girl?
