Rough house- Henry.

After the excitement of the snowstorm, we headed inside to fortify ourselves with our favorite theme meal- Taco Tuesday. I even humored mama by trying the lettuce, taco meat and tomatoes before declaring that the string cheese was actually tiny candy cane ornaments (everything that can be dangled in an ornament these days) and deciding I only wanted taco chips for the rest of my meal.
Papa and Juner did a bit of snuggling before we got down to the business of rough housing. June likes to lay on the floor and laugh while you shake her belly. I like to jump from the couch on to mama on the floor. Papa and I like to push each other down on the couch. Which led to this...

I lost balance and my face became intimate with the hard parts of our couch leaving me with a cut just over the big rug burn that had just healed. It hurt, but the boo bear and a Curious George sticker (band-aid) helped it feel better. Papa must have been feeling bad, because when he took me to get a new movie at the movie store, I got to pick out Kung Fu Panda. Papa said I can watch it tonight if I eat a good supper. Mama's making it tough on me because she's planning on spaghetti squash.

And to top it all off, today we went to the gym so mama could work out. When we got to the day care, Miss Kim asked what happened to my face. I proudly declared "I got a sticker because papa hit me!" We're expecting the call from child services later today.

Blizzard!- Henry.

Apparently we drank our "end of winter" beer too early, because we got a freak snow storm last night. we were confused as to why all the schools were delayed 2 hours yesterday. It must have been in preparation for the storm that hit at 5pm. (And you know the whole county was shut down today, even though the snow all melted last night.)
We couldn't wait to get outside.

I wanted to take Thomas out with me to reenact the episode when Percy warns Thomas about a snow drift by blowing his whistle.

Despite being bundled up, June was not happy to be sitting in the snow and was the first to ask to go in.

Mama wanted a picture of us in the snow, but June refused to smile (she's officially gone soft on us, since she's spent most of her life in the South now) and I didn't want to get my bottom wet, so I would only crouch down.
Because it was kind of warm, it was a very pretty snowstorm, with big flakes that stuck to all the trees and bushes. It was a very prety evening to be outside. Papa didn't get to enjoy it as much because he was stuck in a traffic jam on his way home from work. It is hard driving on roads that are wet from snow that instantly melts when it hits the pavement.

Devastation-Juner.

What started out as a good night and an exciting game ended in tragedy as the Stillers won another Super Bowl with Big dumb Ben Worthless-berger.
We were all inconsolable and headed straight for the bottle to drown our sorrows.

Note that we're drinking Leinie's. Finally some good has come of the Leinenkugel brewery being bought out by Miller. Now our grocery store carries 4 different kinds of Leinie's (although one is berry weiss, so it doesn't count). On Sunday we had a batch of the 1888 Bock. It was brewed originally after the long winter of 1888 to celebrate that they made to spring alive. And since we had such a hard winter down here in NC, we figured we needed to celebrate too.
