Friday- Henry.

On Friday, we all slept in a bit, except mama, who got up at 7 to go to Ace Hardware to buy little Christmas trees in urns for our front door. Sadie and I woke up, but someone just turned on the TV so everyone could stay asleep.

Later, in an unexpected burst of productivity, Uncle Adam went outside and started raking our yard. Papa started helping, and eventually mama got out there too. Before dark, our entire yard was rid of leaves! It was unbelievable! It's already covered up with leaves again, but at least they are new leaves and not the heavy three year old leaves that were piled up in the back yard. Thanks for your help, Unkie!

After all that work, mama decided she wasn't cooking and sent papa and Unkie out to get some barbeque. While they were picking up the food, I took all the girls to Pendleton to see the Christmas tree lighting on the square.

We got there just in time. It was so fun to count down to turn the lights on!

Sadie and I posed for one picture, but wouldn't look at the camera. (June went with Papa and Unkie to get the food because she was coming with a cold and we decided she'd be better off relaxing in a warm car, rather than running around outside with us.)

Everybody was posing in Santa's chair and playing with the play snow, so we decided to get our picture taken too. Mama let us play with the snow, but then we all got yelled at for "messing up Santa's snow." I guess Pendleton's Santa has high standards and dislikes the laughter of small children at Christmas time.
