Birthday night- June.

On Wednesday night, we celebrated two birthdays. Sadie turned 2 on November 12 and Henry turns 4 on December 2.
All of us kids lined up for the big event.

This video captures some of the chaos (we keep using that word a lot). The best part is at the beginning when Henry tries putting the traditional birthday hat on Sadie. Then June just tried to get some of the attention.

Once the presents started, it was hard to keep up with all the craziness.

Aunt Girl got Sadie this pretty doll that played music.
I had my whole arm up inside the package trying to get it out.

Having two birthdays was killing Gram's sense of equality, so of course she brought a little present for me too. It's the dinosaur and Buzz Lightyear for Toy Story. Plus, they were very small so I can carry them around with me.

Mama had plans to make a cake for the birthdays, but Aunt Molly brought this cheesecake (plus about 6 dozen cookies!). Our roman numerals denoted Sadie and Henry's ages.

Mama gave us good directions as to which candles Henry was allowed to blow out.

We sang the birthday song and were ready to eat some cheesecake!

Bring on the cake!!
Sadie likes it!

Then Grams said she had a special present for Henry in the garage. A new big boy two-wheel bike. Listen closely and you can hear mama's biggest embarrassment of the week. Upon seeing the bike, Henry turned to grams and said "But I told you to buy me a race track for my cars." Sigh.

But despite the disappointment of Gram's buying the wrong present, Henry LOVES his new bike.

He rode it around the garage for about 45 minutes until mama said he had to go to bed.

I chased after him with the lawn mower. We both wore our helmets, though I prefer mine backwards.

Then Henry tried out his new bouncing ball. This was the best birthday ever!

Before bed, mama pulled out our new Thanksgiving jammies. Henry's say "Who are you calling a turkey?"

I didn't want to pose, but mine say "Everyone is thankful for me!"
