The Train Tunnel- June.

We've been having some trouble with our laptop's keyboard. (The CTRL button keeps getting stuck, so everytime we try to type, we end up opening menus and printing screen shots. Arg.) Plus, we're so far behind (again), the thought of trying to catch up seems a little daunting.

Mama and I were both scared by the task at hand.

But after a good hug, we decided that the only way this blog was going to get caught up is for mama to stop interwebs shopping for Christmas presents and start typing.

Every time we have someone new at our house, we always go to the train tunnel. Tuesday was brisk and sunny, so it was a great day to head to the mountains.
We all went in, but Henry was a little nervous this time because on Saturday we were looking through the cage door and the end and papa shook it really hard and yelled "Let me out of here!" Mama and Henry did not think it was very funny.

Despite their best efforts, papa and Oliver couldn't get the wheel to turn on the train car.

Mama caught a lot of grief for this outfit. What kid doesn't wear flowered rainboots (I wear these every day), olive fleece pants, a surfer sweatshirt, and a blue fur-lined vest? And then accessorize with homemade beaded necklaces and an 80s-inspired side ponytail?

The park was empty so we got to run all over the road.

I collected my favorite rocks to throw in the water at the top of the waterfall.

The Seiberts posed for a nice picture, though Natalie got a little goofy.

Aunt Elizabeth tried to keep Oliver and Tessa from running away.
Papa and Uncle Kevin took Henry and Natalie under the falls.

Papa tried to get everyone to come to the edge to wave, but they wouldn't. Henry was proud that he climbed the whole way back up by himself.

Tessa lamented that she wasn't allowed to go under the waterfall.

But was happy to try to jump off the bridge over the little creek that feeds the waterfall. (When you go to the park, you walk in on the side of the mountain and the top of the falls. You could literally walk right off the edge if you wanted to.)

Oliver and Henry threw leaves off one side and watch them float under the bridge.

On our way back, we had another dance party in the gazebo.

After Stumphouse, we went to mama's favorite chicken place (again). And she found out they have a website, so you can see it too. Here's the link to the Steak House Cafeteria. Now we just need to figure out how to bring home fresh Arabian Rooster fried chicken to everyone for Christmas.
