Tonight, mama got home from the gym to find two goofy kids.
Mama wanted a picture of me, but Henro butted in.

My parents are so mean- Juner.
I don't think anyone else has it as bad as me. When you crawl under a stepstool and then try to crawl out over the bottom rung only to get stuck, your mama's first reaction should NOT be "Don't mover her, I need to get a picture!"
I had almost resigned myself to a life trapped on the kitchen floor, when papa finally released me from my prison.
The beautiful weather continues and mama is having fun pulling out new spring clothes. I even got to wear my flower dress without a turtleneck underneath it. Mama says I need to start walking because she has a whole collection of mini skirts that are just obscene on a crawler.

The spontaneous barfer-Mama.
Every families got them. Henry is the kid who refuses to use the toilet. Uncle Kevin had nosebleeds. Aunt Jenni gagged on all her food (then barfed). (If you must know, my reputation was for temper tantrums). And now it looks like June is the spontaneous barfer. Yesterday she woke up from her nap and covered me and the kitchen cabinets. Then kept playing. At supper, we tried to keep it simple and fed her applesauce. She yarfed it up and kept eating her graham cracker like nothing happened. We've been watchful for any sign of illness or fever, but she's been in a great mood and hasn't showed any indication of being sick. We think she may just be that kid who spontaneously barfs until 6th grade.
In a post from last week, we posted a video of Henry talking to his train. Today he was playing in the car room (office) while I put June down for her nap. Normally, he spends his time parking the cars in the parking lot, like you see above.
But today, he was playing with his cars on the floor. I noticed they weren't parking, but instead certain cars were driving around and stopping nose-to-nose with other cars. The King (the Richard Petty Super Bird on the top) stopped for everyone and even stopped for the clown truck. This is surprising because normally Henry doesn't like his car with eyes (Car Movie cars) to mix with the cars without eyes. I also watched Radiator Springs Lightning McQueen drive away with Miss Sally (bottom of the screen). I was pretty surprised to see them leave and wondered if Bugmouth McQueen, Tire Eyes McQueen or Dinoco Mqueen knew about any of this. That is so like a woman- go for the flashiest one and forget about everyone else.

Weekend outdoors- Juner.
It was 70 degrees all weekend long, so we decided to get outside.
We visited the Greensboro Natural Science Center, which has an awesome children's museum (with dinosaurs!) and a small zoo. We got to see a zookeeper feed the gibbons. We were corrected when we called them monkeys- they're actually lesser apes.Watch out for this giant preying mantis! Don't worry- it's just me.
After this, mama's battery died, so there aren't any pictures of our barbeque picnic with Mister Paul and Miss Susan or the aftermath when we tore up their house. They've got the most fun stairs to climb.
Despite my pink shirt, shoes, and hair bow, most people still confused me for a boy. Are girls seriously not allowed to wear any blue at all?
Henry had fun playing on the playground, but it took him a good 90 minutes to get up the nerve to go down any slide.
Henry must have grown since Christmas because suddenly none of his clothes fit. The 24 month pants still sag around the waist, but are getting too short. And all of his 3T shirts now show a good amount of belly.
Henry brought his model race car to the playground, which instantly made him the most popular kid there.

Videos- Mama.
I'm so pleased with how things are going this week. There's been very little whining (with the exception of lunchtime today-during which Henry insisted he was too full of peas, but needed a fried egg- which he actualy ate!). It snowed and managed to get sunny again for the rest of the week instead of the normal gray that usually accompanies cold weather. And Henry has started answering the phone so I don't have to (Miss Leah got a long earful about his trains).
Yesterday afternoon, both of my children played together without one of them screaming "June's going to get my train! She's looking at it. She's going to crash my train! Come move her!" Since the train was moved to it's safe place behind the chair, June was allowed to roam free without inflicting too much damage on Henry's toys. Prior to this video, Henry was actually helping June put the blocks through the appropriate holes in the box. But by the time I got the camera out, June had moved on and Henry was just being weird. But it still bought me enough time to make supper and read a magazine for a few minutes.

Like I said, we moved the train to its safe place. And every afternoon, Henry is allowed to play quietly downstairs while I put June down for her nap. When I get back downstairs, there is usually an elaborate storyline being acted out for the trains. My favorite went like this:
"Let's go to the store."
"Okay"
"Before we go, you need to pick up your toys."
"I don't know how"
"Here's a bin. Put them in here."
"I need you to help me."
"You can do it yourself."
Gee, those trains sound a lot like some people I know. So today, I tried to sneak between the chair and table quietly and take a video without Henry noticing. I think this story involves a green train with glasses who is driving te wrong way.
It's just a flesh wound- Mama.
Henry was pretty proud about his Curious George band aid, so we let him keep it on. I guess there's a lot to be said for the amount of head sweat he gives off at night, because when we peeled it off today, it was all chapped underneath.

Rough house- Henry.
After the excitement of the snowstorm, we headed inside to fortify ourselves with our favorite theme meal- Taco Tuesday. I even humored mama by trying the lettuce, taco meat and tomatoes before declaring that the string cheese was actually tiny candy cane ornaments (everything that can be dangled in an ornament these days) and deciding I only wanted taco chips for the rest of my meal.
I lost balance and my face became intimate with the hard parts of our couch leaving me with a cut just over the big rug burn that had just healed. It hurt, but the boo bear and a Curious George sticker (band-aid) helped it feel better. Papa must have been feeling bad, because when he took me to get a new movie at the movie store, I got to pick out Kung Fu Panda. Papa said I can watch it tonight if I eat a good supper. Mama's making it tough on me because she's planning on spaghetti squash.
And to top it all off, today we went to the gym so mama could work out. When we got to the day care, Miss Kim asked what happened to my face. I proudly declared "I got a sticker because papa hit me!" We're expecting the call from child services later today.
Blizzard!- Henry.
Apparently we drank our "end of winter" beer too early, because we got a freak snow storm last night. we were confused as to why all the schools were delayed 2 hours yesterday. It must have been in preparation for the storm that hit at 5pm. (And you know the whole county was shut down today, even though the snow all melted last night.)
I wanted to take Thomas out with me to reenact the episode when Percy warns Thomas about a snow drift by blowing his whistle.
Despite being bundled up, June was not happy to be sitting in the snow and was the first to ask to go in.
Mama wanted a picture of us in the snow, but June refused to smile (she's officially gone soft on us, since she's spent most of her life in the South now) and I didn't want to get my bottom wet, so I would only crouch down.
